Dynamic Ad Insertion & real-time analytics
How Allente and Bradmax Optimized the Nordic Streaming Experience

Introduction
Allente is a TV and streaming provider in the Nordic region. It had two pressures at once. The content providers wanted targeted ads inside their channels, and viewers still expected playback that just works. Both had to be true at the same time.
Allente brought in Bradmax to integrate Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI) from Yospace for real-time ad delivery, and to deploy analytics from NPAW for monitoring, playback optimization and service performance.
What Allente needed
Compliance with broadcaster requirements
Run user-targeted ad insertion, because the content providers now require it.
Performance monitoring
Get real-time analytics that catch streaming problems before viewers report them, at a lower cost than the tool it replaced.
A better viewing experience
Keep ads playing cleanly, keep streams stable, and cut buffering on every platform.

Meeting Content Provider & Viewer Expectations
The content providers wanted control over how their channels were monetized. Those channels had to carry user-targeted ads, swapped in as the stream runs, in live and on-demand alike, without the picture stuttering around them. That's a harder problem than it sounds. The ad has to arrive at the right moment, and the viewer must not notice the seam.
The second problem was cost. Allente was already buying analytics from an external provider, but the bill was high and the insight arrived late. The team wanted to track playback stability, catch service issues before they escalated, and do it across a wide range of devices.
"Bradmax proved to be a highly reliable partner throughout the entire implementation process. Their ability to quickly adapt to challenges and deliver efficient solutions ensured a smooth integration of personalized ads and analytics across our platform. Their expertise and problem-solving approach made the transition effortless for our team."
What Bradmax built
Allente picked Bradmax for the integrations. Ad insertion, analytics and playback all had to work together on the same platform, and none of them could be allowed to disturb what the viewer saw.
DAI from Yospace went in first, for real-time personalized ad replacement in live and on-demand content. Browsers were straightforward. Smart TVs were not.
Analytics from NPAW replaced the previous third-party tool. It gave Allente real-time tracking of streaming performance: buffering, playback stability and device coverage, all visible while the problem was still live.
"This project was an exciting opportunity to bring advanced ad technology and analytics to a leading streaming platform. By adapting to Allente’s unique requirements and technical challenges, we delivered a tailored solution that not only met business objectives but also enhanced the viewing experience for end users."
The Samsung Smart TV problem
The hard part was synchronization. Ads had to line up across every device Allente served, and Smart TVs were the worst of them.
On Samsung Smart TVs, the default media player didn't fully support ad playback for non-DRM protected ads inside DRM-protected channels. Bradmax worked around it with an alternative Samsung component that handled both.
Consistent ad playback took a lot of testing. Bradmax tightened the links between the system components, shortened the test cycle, and added a fallback that skips a bad ad segment when one appears.
Allente met the content providers’ requirements, and the streams kept running.
“With Bradmax we seamlessly introduced personalized ad insertion and advanced analytics without disrupting our operations. The real-time insights and system optimizations have made our streaming service more stable, efficient, and user-friendly—delivering a better experience for both our team and our viewers."

What changed
Full compliance with broadcaster requirements, so the premium channels stayed available.
More stable streams, with real-time monitoring and playback problems fixed before viewers noticed them.
Targeted ads that play cleanly across platforms, without breaking the viewer’s attention.
What Allente got out of it
The ad system met the content providers’ new delivery requirements, and it gave Allente more control over monetization. More relevant ads meant better engagement, which is what makes the inventory worth more.
Analytics gave the team real-time visibility of streaming quality, so issues could be dealt with before users hit them. Playback got more stable across platforms as a result.
Viewers got ads that were more relevant to them, which cuts ad fatigue. They also got fewer interruptions: more stable playback, less buffering, on every device they use.
